Dawn Richard Was 'Absolutely Terrified' of Diddy, Says Singer’s Lawyer

Former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard has accused Sean "Diddy" Combs of sexual abuse and witnessing violent acts, including the physical assault of his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

Richard’s attorney, Lisa Bloom, recently spoke out, detailing the harrowing allegations against the music mogul and shedding light on the environment Richard endured while under Combs' influence.

In September, Richard filed a lawsuit accusing Combs of groping her, withholding promised payments, and creating a hostile atmosphere that deprived her of basic needs like sleep and food.

According to Bloom, Richard described Combs as having a “vicious temper,” which left her “absolutely terrified.”

Bloom also disclosed that Richard allegedly witnessed “severe acts of violence” by Combs toward Cassie Ventura and other women. The allegations paint a grim picture of an environment riddled with intimidation and abuse.

Combs, who is currently in custody at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, has denied all allegations. His lawyer, Erica Wolff, dismissed the claims as fabricated, stating they were an attempt to “get a payday.”

Bloom elaborated on Richard’s experiences during an interview with BBC Newsnight. She alleged that Richard attempted to confront Combs about his actions but was met with threats of further violence. “It was just a really violent, tumultuous atmosphere,” Bloom stated.

The accusations extend beyond Richard. Bloom confirmed that she represents another individual making claims against Combs related to his alleged “freak-off” parties.

These events reportedly involved orchestrated sexual acts with sex workers, with allegations of drugging and coercion tied to Combs' business dealings.

Richard rose to fame as part of Danity Kane, the girl group formed on Combs’ MTV reality show Making the Band in 2005. She later joined Combs and Kalenna Harper in the musical trio Diddy-Dirty Money in 2010, a group that disbanded two years later.

Combs has faced a cascade of similar allegations in recent months. While denying all accusations, his legal team claims that divergent witness accounts are being misrepresented to further fuel the lawsuits.

The lawsuit by Richard adds to the mounting allegations of misconduct against Combs, with Cassie Ventura having also filed a lawsuit earlier alleging years of abuse.

Bloom’s statements reveal what she describes as a toxic pattern of behavior within Combs’ inner circle, extending far beyond individual incidents.
