This week, allies of the Trump Campaign will hold a press conference at the Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago to call out Vice President Kamala Harris' weak and failed record, as well as her dangerously liberal agenda.
On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 10:00 AM CDT, Congressman Byron Donalds will deliver remarks highlighting Kamala Harris' pro-criminal policies, which have made every American less safe.
Kamala Harris has a record of putting criminals first and law enforcement last. She has repeatedly supported gutting law enforcement budgets and releasing violent criminals and rioters back into communities.
As a presidential candidate, Harris campaigned on "reimagining" the police, stating that putting "more police on the streets" is not the way to make communities safer. As a senator, she applauded Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti's move to cut $150 million from a planned increase to the city's police budget.
Harris has also promoted bail funds for now-convicted rapists and murderers. She encouraged donations to the Minnesota Freedom Fund, which bailed out individuals who went on to commit further crimes.
As a result of Harris' refusal to prioritize public safety, homicide rates remain higher than pre-pandemic levels in most cities, and police departments struggle to hire and retain officers.
In contrast, President Trump has consistently supported law enforcement. His administration provided $400 million for new law enforcement hiring, established a commission to evaluate best practices for officer recruitment, and revitalized Project Safe Neighborhoods to develop solutions to violent crime.
