Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, Hon. Samuel Nartey George.
In two separate cases, the Minister has directed the National Communications Authority (NCA) of Ghana to suspend and enforce a prohibition of broadcast on seven (7) radio stations in total.
In one instance, the directive was issued on the grounds of national security. In the other six cases, the prohibition was based on broadcasting without a valid frequency authorization as identified in the recently requested frequency audit. The enforcement of this directive is immediate, and further action will be taken in the coming days.
The commitment to sanitizing the airwaves and ensuring strict adherence to the law concerning frequency authorization's is reiterated. All media houses are urged to ensure compliance with all the terms of their frequency authorizations.

In service to God and Country.
